I really don’t know how my oldest is starting kindergarten! All the emotions. We are going back full time. I am thankful our school has that option. Being a dual military family, I am not sure what we would have done. With school comes lunches. For us that means finding all the eco friendly lunchbox options that will last. Thankfully we are not new to this game. My youngest two day care requires us to bring lunch and snack so I have gotten the packed lunch mastered in the last year.
Besides packing a healthy lunch my priority is to use safe and reusable containers. We have a tried a lot of options and while it’s an investment it’s worth it for your health and the planet.
What is inside our Eco Friendly Lunchbox?
PlanetBox Bento Box. We have the Shuttle (smaller) for the two in daycare and the Launch (medium) for our kindergartener.
Stainless Steel Water bottles. Camelbak and Hydro Flask are are go to water bottles. They are easy to clean and even my 18 month old doesn’t have trouble in opening them.
Reusable snack and sandwich bags. Stasher bags are amazing! You can freeze, microwave and boil them. They are easy for little hands to open.
Utensils. My kids really love the kids size fork and spoon. I love the storage page so its easy to keep it all contained.
Lunch boxes. The pottery barn ones have held up amazingly the last year. I opted for the planetwise one for my oldest to fit her larger bento box. I’ll keep you updated on how it wears
